Dear Maureen Oliver
I am writing to you to say how amazing your skills as an artist are, the paintings you do are so emotive. The feeling that you project from the images is just indescribable, the colour, the stance, the light, is just so amazing.

My Name is Damien and at the moment I’m studying the Voices Forum artists work in key skills lesson. Would you be able to tell me how you got into painting and what things go thought your mind as you paint.

Isis and the Moon

In this piece I like the way you have used so many colours and the way it has all been put together.

It’s called Isis and the Moon, this piece. I mainly like it because of the colours and the rawness of the paint. You portray this woman as the goddess Isis, which is done with the many tones and shades of all the different colours. Does this painting mean a lot to you? Does it make you feel better when you look at it? Because to me this painting makes me look at life in a different way.

I would also like to try some of the technique you have used like all those different colours.
